The iCONCLAVE 2026 is an inter-university competition designed to bring together talented undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh to demonstrate their creativity, technical knowledge, research capabilities, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and ability to innovate.

Organized by IEEE Premier University Student Branch and co-organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section, iCONCLAVE 2026 provides a dynamic platform where students can move beyond conventional classroom learning and challenge themselves through research, technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, innovation, strategic thinking, and competitive problem-solving.

PROGRAM

Six Competition Segments

Segment 1

PITCH3

3 Minds. 3 Minutes. 1 Impact.

PITCH3 is a research and innovation pitching competition designed to challenge students to communicate a meaningful idea clearly, concisely, and convincingly.

Participants may present original research ideas, ongoing or completed research projects, technological or AI solutions, software or hardware projects, startup concepts, social or environmental innovations, educational solutions, or interdisciplinary ideas with meaningful potential for impact.

Competition Structure

Stage 1 — Abstract Submission

Teams must submit a research abstract for initial evaluation.

  • Maximum length: 300 words
  • Format: PDF/DOCX
  • Recommended contents:
    • Problem Statement
    • Proposed Methodology / Approach
    • Expected Outcome or Impact
  • Topics should be relevant to STEM, computing, innovation, or interdisciplinary fields.

Abstracts are evaluated on Problem/Opportunity, Innovation & Originality, Feasibility, and Potential Impact.

Stage 2 — Final Pitch

Selected teams advance to the physical final round at Premier University.

Qualified teams must prepare a visual presentation in PDF/PPTX format. The presentation should emphasize clear visuals, key findings, and concise information rather than excessive text.

Segment 2

Clash of Projects

Build. Showcase. Compete.

Clash of Projects is a project showcase competition where students transform innovative ideas into practical technological solutions and demonstrate them before a judging panel.

Both hardware and software-based projects are accepted. Projects should be original, innovative, technologically relevant, and demonstrate practical applications and clear problem-solving potential.

What Can You Showcase?

Participants may present projects involving:

  • Hardware systems
  • Software solutions
  • Robotics
  • Embedded systems
  • AI and intelligent systems
  • Automation
  • IoT
  • Engineering innovations
  • Other technology-driven solutions

Presentation Format

Each team will receive a designated space for project setup and will have 5–10 minutes for presentation.

Teams may choose the presentation format most appropriate for their project, including:

  • Poster display
  • Laptop-based presentation
  • Live project demonstration
  • Other suitable visual formats

Teams are responsible for bringing required equipment such as laptops, batteries, chargers, converters, and multi-plugs.

Important Safety Requirements

Projects must comply with safety requirements. Exposed high-voltage terminals, hazardous chemicals/materials, unsecured batteries, and dangerous moving mechanisms are prohibited. Organizers may prohibit demonstrations considered unsafe.

Participants retain ownership of their original intellectual property and are responsible for avoiding third-party intellectual property infringement.

Segment 3

HerTech Hustle

Empower. Triumph. Innovate.

HerTech Hustle is a technology-focused challenge designed exclusively for female undergraduate students, combining preparation, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and the ability to respond to unexpected questions.

Who Can Participate?

  • Open to female undergraduate students.
  • Participants may come from any academic discipline. All members of a team must be from the same university.
  • Team size: 2–3 members.
  • Registration fee: BDT 1,500 per team.

Challenge Areas

Teams choose one topic in advance and prepare for it before the competition.

Topic areas include:

  1. Green Technology
  2. Biotechnology
  3. Artificial Intelligence
  4. Cybersecurity
  5. Human-Computer Interaction
  6. AR/VR & Extended Reality
  7. Software Engineering

During the competition, judges reveal one or more questions related to the team's selected topic.

Competition Format

Teams receive a short preparation period to discuss and formulate their response.

Each team then has 5 minutes to present its answer:

  • Live
  • Verbally
  • Without slides

Judges may ask additional questions based on the team's response.

Resource Rules

After the question is revealed:

  • AI tools are prohibited.
  • Internet access is prohibited.
  • Phones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches are prohibited.
  • No information may be obtained from outside the team.
  • Teams may use pre-written offline notes/notebooks.
  • Collaboration between teams is strictly prohibited.

The principle is simple: Prepare well. Think together. Answer from your own knowledge.

Segment 4

PromptWar

Think. Prompt. Conquer.

PromptWar is an AI problem-solving competition where teams compete by strategically using ChatGPT to solve an analytical challenge.

The competition tests not only the final answer, but also the team's ability to construct effective prompts, develop a logical prompting strategy, and explain the decisions behind their prompt flow.

The Challenge

An analytical problem will be provided on the competition day.

Participants must use:

ChatGPT only

and only the free version of ChatGPT is permitted.

Each team must create a new ChatGPT account specifically for the competition.

Prompt Rules

  • A fixed number of prompts will be provided to all teams.
  • Prompt activity will be monitored.
  • Exceeding the assigned prompt limit results in disqualification.
  • Teams must maintain their complete prompt flow from the first to the final prompt.
  • Teams must explain their prompt flow and key decisions during the presentation.
  • The presentation is conducted without slides.

Eligibility & Equipment

  • Open to undergraduate students.
  • All members of a team must be from the same university.
  • Cross-university teams are not permitted.
  • Teams must bring their own laptops.
  • Participants must maintain their own active data connection.
  • No unauthorized AI tools, APIs, or external resources are permitted.

Each team submits one final output, and all members must contribute to developing the solution.

Segment 5

GoalBot Challenge

Bot. Ball. Battle.

GoalBot Challenge brings robotics and competitive gameplay together in a fast-paced 1v1 robotic football challenge.

Teams design and operate a robot capable of competing against another robot inside a dedicated arena while following strict technical and gameplay regulations.

Eligibility

  • Open to all undergraduate students.
  • Valid institutional ID must be presented on the event day.
  • All members of a team must be from the same university.
  • Team size: up to 3 members.
  • An individual cannot participate in more than one team.
  • Each team may register only one robot.

Arena

  • Arena: 8 ft × 4 ft
  • Protective perimeter walls
  • Goal width: approximately 1.5 ft
  • Goal depth: 0.5 ft
  • Ball diameter: maximum 7 cm
  • Ball weight: approximately 200 g

Robot Specifications

  • Maximum dimensions: 30 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm
  • Maximum weight: 3 kg
  • On-board power supply
  • Maximum voltage: 24V
  • Wireless control only
  • No external/wired power source
  • Ball may only be pushed or kicked using mechanical force
  • Grabbing mechanisms are prohibited
  • Pre-built robots are not allowed
  • Weapons, fire, water, chemicals, boosting modules, and other prohibited mechanisms are not allowed.

Tournament Format

The competition follows:

Round Robin → Knockout

Groups consist of 5 teams, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the next stage.

Each match consists of:

  • 2 rounds
  • 1 minute 15 seconds per round
  • 30-second interval between rounds

Scoring

  • Goal: +3 points
  • Foul: −1 point
  • Arena damage: Foul
  • Excess weight: goal demerit
  • Repair time: −1 point per 10 seconds
  • Connection failure: maximum 2 restarts
  • Each restart: 30 seconds + 1 demerit point

Robots will undergo pre-competition inspection covering weight, dimensions, voltage, battery output, and prohibited mechanisms.

Segment 6

Research Exhibition

Research Reveal. Revolve.

The Research Exhibition is an academic poster presentation platform designed to allow students, researchers, and young innovators to showcase research, innovative ideas, and technological solutions through engaging visual presentations.

The competition emphasizes research communication, innovation, scientific and technical quality, interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, and the ability to communicate complex work effectively.

Objectives

The exhibition aims to:

  • Encourage research and innovation.
  • Promote creative problem-solving.
  • Provide a platform for emerging ideas and research findings.
  • Develop scientific and technical communication skills.
  • Promote interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Participation Format

The rulebook specifies:

  • Poster presentation in teams of three members.
  • All contributors and institutional affiliations must be identified.
  • Participation requires completion of the official registration process.
  • Submission of a poster does not automatically guarantee selection for the final competition; screening and selection apply.

Presentation Format

Each team receives 5 minutes total:

  • 3 minutes: Primary presentation
  • 2 minutes: Q&A

All three members are required to actively participate.

Judges may ask questions about:

  • Project
  • Concept
  • Methodology
  • Feasibility
  • Proposed solution

Poster Content

The poster should communicate the core research clearly through elements such as:

  • Title
  • Problem Statement
  • Objectives
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Registration Process

STEP 01

Send the applicable registration fee via bKash (Send Money) to 01625933020, and keep the Transaction ID and a screenshot of the payment. For teams with more than two members, only team leaders of each team need to register for the event and must provide information of other team members.

STEP 02
